Saturday morning’s competition was conducted in cool conditions and at times misty rain – not your typical mid Summer weather.  The athletes still produced some outstanding performances with 275 PB’s recorded.

The highlight of the meet was in the Boys Under 12 100m sprint where Nelson Banigo flew down the front straight in a record producing time of 13.12 secs, taking .24 off his previous record set earlier in the season.

Next week the Centre weekly competition will be a Twilight Meet to be held on Friday evening commencing at 5pm.  On Saturday and Sunday 24 BMLAC athletes will compete at the Region Track & Field Carnival to be held at the Newport Park Athletics Track in Williamstown.
