At this weekend’s meet Centre Captain, Keely Rich lead by example setting 2 new Centre Records.  The first record saw Keely  throw 25.39 metres in the Under 16 Javelin, adding over a metre to her previous record.  Later in the morning Keely threw the Shot Put 9.04 metres to set a new Under 16 Centre record.

Joel Kandelaars, Oliver Carr & Annabel Muir were this week’s PB Stars of the Week, all achieving 4 Personal Best results for the meet.

Little Athletics Victoria released the State Track & Field progressions during the week and Bacchus Marsh will now have 15 athletes representing the Centre at the State Championships on March 10 & 11.    Nelson Banigo, Kirsty Bresnan, Matai Haunga and Olivia Way automatically qualified after wins in their Region event while progressions were awarded to Elise Cook, Kayla Downes, Shameka Grero, Jack Flanagan, Murphy Harrington, Luatangi Huanga,  Ryan Lister, Alex Lloyd, Solomon Miesen, Temi Olaitan and Bridie Shanahan.
