On Saturday, the Bacchus Marsh Centre held the Official Opening of the 2019/20 track & field season. Centre President, Maria Downes extended a warm welcome to Life Members, Distinguished Service Members and wished all athletes the best for the season.  The newly elected Centre Captains were announced.  Jesse Bullard and Zoe Wells will be our new leaders this season.

Once all the formalities were completed our weekly competition was underway.

Conditions were ideal for athletics and our registration numbers continue to grow at a fast rate. It is extremely pleasing to see so many new faces around the Centre.

Thank you to all those who have stepped up and officiated at events so far this season.  Your help has ensured a smooth start to the season.

Now that we are in our third week of competition all athletes should be in full Club uniform.  This include a Club polo shirt and plain black shorts. No logos are permitted. Athletes must also be wearing their Subway registration tag at all times whilst competing.

We have had a great response from Under 9-16 athletes registering for the 2019 BMLAC Relay Squad. If your child in interested in competing in Relays, please submit your form by this Saturday.  Even if think there is not enough athletes in your child’s age group, please submit a form as there are many team combinations.  Athletes can also be age group promoted if we do not have enough athletes in particular age groups. BMLAC will endeavor to have all interested athletes in a team.
