The weekend saw BMLAC athletes compete at their weekly Saturday morning meet at Masons Lane Reserve while athletes also represented the Centre at the State Combined Event at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.

Saturday morning saw 233 PB’s recorded during competition with Mace Patterson and Ethan Sayers both recording 6 PB’s in their maximum 6 events.  Tamara Henry set her 4th record for the season, setting a new record distance of 25.50m in the Under 16 Javelin.

Meanwhile, 7 athletes participated in the State Combined Event competing across 5 separate disciplines against athletes from across Victoria.

On Saturday, Under 9 athlete Harrison Lovett placed 7th out of 54 athletes while Mathilde Grant finished 19th out of 56 athletes.  On Sunday, David Elefterescu placed 34th out of 53 in the Under 11 event.  Nicholas Ide finished 12th out of 54 in the Under 12 event and Under 14 athlete Emma Stewart was 13th.  In the Boys Under 14 event Sergio Arrivillaga was 10th overall and Matthew Elefterescu was 26th out of 33 athletes.

Entries have now opened for the Centre Championship Day to be held on March 20.  Entry forms have been emailed to all members or can be downloaded from the Centre website.

Next Saturday will be program 4 commencing at 8.30am.  Boomerangs Club or on set up duty from 7.30am.
