Thank you for registering for the Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Cross Country Open Day to be held on Saturday 13th June at St Anne’s Winery, Myrniong.

We’re excited to welcome athletes from across Victoria, including Ballarat, Buninyong, Camberwell/Malvern, Corio, Gisborne, Horsham, Maryborough, Melton City, Werribee and of course, our local Bacchus Marsh competitors.

Please read through the important event details below:

Venue Location
St Anne’s Winery – 64 Garrards Lane, Myrniong

  • From Melbourne (Western Hwy): Take the C318 exit (Greendale / Pykes Creek / Blackwood / Trentham), turn left onto Garrards Lane and follow signs to the winery.
  • From Ballarat (Western Hwy): Take the same exit, turn right onto Garrards Lane and follow signs to the winery.

Car Parking
Enter via the main gate and continue along the gravel road. Parking is on the right-hand side, with attendants on-site to direct you.

Event Schedule

  • 9:30am – Arrival and Sign-in
  • 9:45am – Walk the Course
  • 10:15am – Course Closed
  • 10:30am – First Race Begins

Race Distances by Age Group

  • U6 – 500m
  • U7 & U8 – 1000m
  • U9 & U10 – 1500m
  • U11 & U12 – 2000m
  • U13 – U17 – 3000m

Uniform Requirements
All athletes must wear their approved Centre uniform, with the Commonwealth Bank registration tag and Coles patch correctly attached.

Undergarments (tops):

  • Long/short sleeve tops may be worn underneath but must be plain (no logos or patterns), and either Centre colour, black or white.

Undergarments (bottoms):

  • Leggings or shorts (no track pants) under Centre shorts must be plain black, beige or Centre colour. Custom LAVic-branded garments are permitted.

Footwear:

  • Spikes, football boots and any shoes with hard cleats are not allowed.

Photos & Videos
To protect the privacy of all participants, photography or video is only permitted with prior consent from a parent or guardian. This is in line with LAVic’s Child Safe Code of Conduct.
Official event photos and presentations will be shared on the BMLAC Facebook page.

Athlete Support
No outside assistance or refreshments may be given during the race unless required for medical reasons, in which case First Aid will assist.

Food & Coffee
We’ll have a BBQ run by our amazing BMLAC volunteers and Cruisin Coffee & Co will be on-site for hot drinks.

First Aid
First Aid officers will be located at the start/finish line. Please notify an official if assistance is needed and help will be dispatched.

Venue Rules

  • No smoking or vaping.
  • No dogs permitted (service dogs allowed with appropriate documentation).

Presentations

  • Medals awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group and gender.
  • Certificates for all participants.
  • Presentations will take place at the conclusion of the final event.

Volunteers required
As a volunteer-run club, we appreciate the support of as many helpers as possible on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly. We already have a fantastic team of volunteers, but any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.
