Our Centre meet was held on Saturday morning at Masons Lane Reserve.  Conditions were cool and the head wind made it tough for our sprinters.  Matai Haunga took advantage of the wind though, throwing a record distance of 35.86 metres in the Boys Under 12 Discus.  Reegan Sabo was not deterred by the conditions and recorded 5PB’s for the meet.

It was great to see a number of our teams practising for the upcoming Relay Championships after competition had concluded.  Bacchus Marsh have entered 29 teams into the Relay Championships to be held at Melton on Saturday 17 November.

Next Saturday the Centre Multi Event will be held.  All athletes will compete in five events (hurdles, sprint, distance, discus & long jump) gaining points in each event.  All five events must be competed in to have completed the Multi Event, so please ensure you arrive by 8.30am for the first event.  If one event is not competed in, that athlete will be deemed ineligible to win an award. Athletes must be in correct uniform (Club Polo and plain Black shorts), including Subway registration tags.  Athletes not in correct uniform risk being disqualified.

Next Sunday the the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association Coaching Workshop & Athlete Skills Session will be held at Masons Lane Reserve.  Athletes who registered for this session have been emailed with full details.
