On Saturday the Centre Annual Multi Event Day was conducted.  All athletes participated in 5 events – a sprint race, distance race, hurdles, long jump and discus.  Points were allocated on athletes results.  Presentations to Multi Event award winners will be made at our Twilight Meet on Friday night.   All athletes will receive a certificate with their results.

The day started out perfect seeing many PB’s recorded in the hurdle events.  By mid morning the wind started to blow and our sprinters were facing a head wind for their sprint events.   Well done to Sailah Wisewould, Maisie Cook and Remy McLean-Monfries who all recorded 5PB’s for the day.

Congratulations to Sione Haunga who broke the Under 7 Discus record with a throw of 21.88 metres.

Thank you to all those who supported the raffle for Matai Haunga, who will represent Victoria at the Australian Primary Schools Track & Field Championships.  Emma Smith was the winner of the Usain Bolt canvas printed, kindly donated by the Altona Throws Squad.  The raffle raised $356.  Good luck Matai.
