This week’s Cross Country meet was held at Lady Northcote Camp, Rowsley.  Although temperatures dropped below zero overnight, our athletes were greeted with a beautiful sunny winter’s morning.

Under 6 athlete, Jax Coulton continued his winning form over the 500m distance.  In the Under 7 & 8 1000 metre event, Myah Estlick was the first home for the Under 7’s while Imogen Lidgett-Egan and Deegan Doyle recorded wins for the Under 8’s.   Mackenzie Estlick, Under 10, was the fastest over the 1500 metre course while Nicholas Ide and Sarah Burton were the Under 9 winners for this distance.   In the 2000 metre event, Mitchell Wells, Nate Sadhai and James Burton were the top 3 boys home while Elise Cooke, Danielle Ide and Freya Lidgett-Egan were the top 3 placegetters for the girls.  The open age athletes completed 3 laps of the 1km course and it was Jack Mutsaerts first across the finish line closely followed by Bridget Henthorn.

Next week’s meet will be held at the Myrniong Reserve with the first event to commence at 10.30am.
