Another beautiful winter day greeted our athletes this week as we returned to Myrniong Reserve for our Centre Cross Country meet.

The Under 7 & 8 athletes competed over the 1000 metre distance. Deegan Doyle produced a dominating performance to cross the finish line first for the boys while Matilda Flanagan ran a consistent race to be the first girl home.   A close race was contested over the 1500 metre distance with Nicholas Ide finishing in 1st place closely followed by Riley Rogers in 2nd and William Flanagan in 3rd place.   Xavier Goodman and Elise Cook claimed victories in the 2km event while Jack Mutsaerts and Bridget Henthorn continued their dominance over the 3km distance.

Well done to Abbey Norman, Riley Rogers and Spencer Wood who all recorded PB’s this week.
