This week was the final Cross Country meet for the season.  The theme of the day was ‘Mad Hatter’ with all athletes and spectators encouraged to wear their best, worst, favourite, wackiest or most creative hat.  All races were conducted on a handicap system, with athletes starting off using staggered times which were calculated from the full season results.  In the Under 6 500 metre event, line honours went to Jake Shannon with Myah Estlick running the fastest time.  In the Under 7 & 8 1000 metre race Kalen Kucera claimed line honours with Kai Cunningham recording the fastest time.  The Under 9 & 10 athletes completed a 1500 metre course.  Oskar Kucera narrowly took line honours from Mia Cummins while Mitchell Wells ran the quickest time.  The Under 11 & 12’s contested the 2000 metre event with Mackenzie Dart claiming line honours and Xavier Goodman recording the fastest time.  Rebecca West was the overall winner of the Open Age 3000 metres with Riley Dart, in his final little athletics race, securing the fastest time.

At the conclusion of all races, athletes and families came together for the end of season presentations.
