 22/09/15  Jetstar Under 6-8 State Carnival    


The Jetstar Under 6-8 State Carnival 2015 will be held on Sunday, 18 October at the Tom Kelly Reserve, Doncaster  This event is open to all Under 6 to Under 8 registered athletes

This is the only State-wide event for our Under 6 – Under 8 athletes. A fun day with a carnival atmosphere which includes; face painting, jumping castles and giveaways. Athletes will enjoy an educational experience with a focus on skill and technique development under the guidance of LAVic coaches.

Parents are encouraged to follow their children to each venue and will be shown by officials the processes and basic rules of each event.

Places are restricted to 100 children in each age group. Example: 100 U7 Girls and 100 U7 Boys

Please wear your Club or Centre uniform that you wear at weekly Centre competition and regular running shoes.

Each child will receive a certificate and ribbons to recognize their participation in the Jetstar U6-U8 State Carnival.

Register HERE $20.00 + IMGSTG processing fee.  Entries close at 11:59pm on Monday, 12 October 2015 or earlier if we reach capacity for that age group.


 16/09/15  Relay Expression of Interest Form    


Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre invites ALL registered athletes in the Under 9 – 15 age groups to take part in this year’s Little Athletics Victoria Relay competition.  In keeping with Centre policy, all interested athletes will be placed in relays teams where possible.

Competition Dates:

Region Relays:   Saturday 21st November at Williamstown
State Relays:     Saturday 12th December at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.
**Athletes must be available to attend both dates, or selection into teams will not be possible**

Please complete the Relay Expression of Interest Form HERE and hand it to your team manager by 12 noon on Saturday 24th October. Interested athletes will be contacted by their age group coach with more information. The cost of relays this year is incorporated into registration fees, which covers both Region & State relays.

If you are available to coach please indicate on the Relay Expression of Interest Form.

 4/09/15  Online Registrations - Now Available    


Athletes can now register ONLINE for the 2015/16 Track & Field season HERE.
This year, Little Athletics Victoria are ONLY accepting registrations and payments ONLINE. No cash payments are able to be accepted for registrations by Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre.
You will need to complete your registration online, print your receipt and bring it to one of our Registration Days on Fri 18 or Sat 19 September, 2015 to collect your registration pack.
New members will be required to supply a copy of their child’s birth certificate or other proof of age at one of our Registration Days to finalise their registration.



 9/09/15  IMPORTANT 2015/16 Registration Information .


This year, Little Athletics Victoria are only accepting registrations and payments online HERE. No cash payments are able to be accepted for registrations by Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre. The following procedures will apply for registration this season:

All current athletes are to register before the season commences. Little Athletics Victoria will email last season’s members to advise when registrations have opened and will include your User ID and Password in this email. You will need to complete your registration online, print your receipt and bring it to one of our Registration Days on 18 and 19 September, 2015. You will then be given your registration pack and your child/ren’s competition tag. Families who are unable to attend registration days, may pick up their child/ren’s pack and tag on first day of competition.

New athletes are able to register online at the Little Athletics Victoria website HERE or via the link on Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics website HERE once registrations open. New athletes will also be required to supply a copy of their child’s birth certificate or other proof of age at one of our Registration Days. Photos of proof of age on your phone or iPad are acceptable. Your child will not be able to complete registration without this and will only receive a registration pack and competition tag when this requirement is fulfilled.

Families who do not have access to a computer, the Centre will have computers available on the Registration Days. Please bring your credit card to be able to make payment and if your child is a current athlete, please also bring your User ID and Password as you will need this to complete the registration for the new season.

Tryouts are for new members ONLY, who have not participated in Little Athletics at either our Centre or any other Centre. Those athletes wanting to do tryouts should also register online as "submit only". They can then come to office to collect a try out tag. Athletes are able to participate in two try outs before they are required to make online payment and provide proof of age. All try out athletes are to be 5 years of age and compete in their correct age group.

Club uniforms will be available for purchase at our registration days - CASH ONLY transactions as we do not have EFTPOS facilities. Once you choose your club, either Blues, Boomerangs, Dolphins or Eagles, you are required to wear a club shirt and plain black shorts without pockets for our track and field season. Shirts are $20, shorts $15. You are not required to purchase shorts from the Centre.

The BMLAC 2015/16 track & field season will commence on Saturday 10 October at Masons Lane Reserve.

 23/08/15  Final Cross Country Meet & Presentations.


The Centre held their final Cross Country meet for the season at Masons Lane Reserve last Saturday. The theme of the day was ‘Crazy Socks’ where all athletes and supporters were encouraged to wear their crazy socks. All races were conducted on a handicap format. Athletes with the fastest time over the season set off last in an endeavour to run down the field. Line honours were awarded to Jordana Bullock in the Under 6’s 500 metres. Jordana was the backmarker and ran down the entire field. In the Under 7 & 8 1000m event Freya Lidgett Egan ran a well-paced race to cross the line first. In the Under 9/10 event over 1500m it was anyone's race with 500m to go, but in a sprint finish Hannah Bullock proved too strong to take the win.  Rebecca West lead from start to finish to claim line honours in the Under 11/12 2000m event, while Under 16 athlete Caitlin Spargo ran her best race for the season to finish first in the Open Age 3km race.

After handicap races had concluded the Centre Cross Country presentations were held. Cross Country Co-ordinator, Sam Goodman thanked many important volunteers who contributed to the success of season. To Trevor Denton, Mick Downes & Ian Rich for setting up the cross country courses weekly and to the starter marshals Ian Rich, Maria Downes and Michelle Broderick. A massive thanks to all the parents who rabbited events; the encouragement given by these parents whilst running was much appreciated by the athletes.
