The first BMLAC meet for 2018 was held today at Masons Lane Reserve.   The overnight rain had cleared, and although a little windy, another successful meet was held with 2 new Centre records set.  Nelson Banigo (Eagles) ran a well controlled 400 metres, finishing strongly and setting a new Under 9 record of 1:10.15 minutes, taking over 3 seconds off the previous record.  Keely Rich (Dolphins) broke the Girls Under 16 Javelin record with a throw of 24.08 metres.  Temi Olaitan was this week’s PB Star of the Week recording 4 PB’s for the meet.

Next Saturday BMLAC athletes will be participating in an Inter Centre Round at Werribee.  Athletes from Brimbank, Corio, Melton City and Werribee will all compete against each other in a fun and friendly environment.  The meet will be held at the Victoria University Wyndham Sporting Complex, Hoppers Lane, Werribee commencing at 4pm.  Athletes are reminded to register via the ResultsHQ family portal by Friday 12 noon.
