TheĀ State Cross-Country ChampionshipsĀ is an individual Cross-Country event. It is held on terrain that is undulating and provides a challenge to the athletes. The course may incorporate one or two laps depending on the distance and layout of the course.

Age Groups:Ā U9 ā€“ U17 Athletes

Please Note:Ā Dogs are NOT permitted within the venue. Dogs are not permitted at any Little Athletics Victoria event, please ensure you remind your parents, as they will be asked to leave if they arrive with a dog.

Entry Requirements

Athletes MUST qualify through competing and completing their 2023 Region Cross-Country Carnival eventĀ HERE. No direct entries are permitted.

The distance for each age group is listed below.

Athlete Scratching / Withdrawal

All athletes that compete and complete their Region Cross-County Carnival will automatically be entered into the State Cross-Country Championships. An athlete scratching portal will be opened following the Region Cross-Country Carnivals providing athletes with the opportunity to scratch/withdraw from the 2023 State Cross-Country Championships.

Important: Once the scratching/withdrawal has been submitted, the scratched athlete cannot be reinstated.

Once the scratching portal has closed ā€“ State Cross-Country Championships scratchings will need to be provided to your Centre or Team Manager at check in on the day.

Event T-Shirt

Athletes have the opportunity to purchase a 2022/23 State Cross-Country Championships commemorative shirt to mark the occasion ā€“ athletes and their families should be extremely proud of their efforts in participating at the State Cross-Country Championships.
