Our Centre Championship Day at Masons Lane Reserve will be held on Saturday 25th March. All qualified athletes must register their attendance with their team manager by 8.15am. Athletes who fail to register will be deemed absent and scratched from all events. For safety reasons the side gate will be locked during the day, please enter via the main gate.
Athletes must be in full Club uniform – Club polo shirt and plain black shorts (no footy shorts, floral leggings or surf shorts permitted). Commonwealth Bank registration tags must be worn.
Athletes must marshal at events when announced. Once an event has commenced, late athletes will not be permitted to compete (event clashes will be exempt). Track events will take precedence over field events. If athletes have an event clash, a Release Form must be organised with your team manager.
The Championship Day Program and Championship Day Duty Roster are attached.
Officials and athletes are only permitted on the inside of the track. No parents are to approach event officials, any issues must be addressed to the Centre President.
Progression to finals – the first from each heat plus the next fastest times to make a final of 8.
Medals will be awarded to the first 3 placegetters in each final.
The canteen will be open with Egg and Bacon rolls available in the morning and a BBQ lunch. The Coffee Man will also be on site from 7.30am.
Championship events will conclude at approximately 2.30pm. Athletes from all Clubs will then come together for the official Centre end of season presentations. These presentations will take approximately an hour. At the conclusion of presentations, athletes will then disperse to their Club area for Club presentations which should take approximately half an hour.
Raffle tickets will be sold during the morning and prizes will be drawn during the lunch break, so please bring cash to help support this Centre fundraiser.
A reminder no smoking and no dogs are permitted at sanctioned LAVic events. No ball games are permitted during competition, therefore please do not bring balls to little aths.
