Combined Event Presentations

Prior to competition commencing this week the Centre Combined Event presentations were conducted. Trophies were presented to the winner in each age group and medals awarded to 2^nd and 3^rd overall placegetters.  All competitors received a Certificates of Participation which included full results and overall placings.

Once again the first event on the track was the 800 metre races. Under 16 athlete Emma Smith (Dolphins) took a further 2 seconds off her record set last week, running a new record time of 2:46.89 mins.

An amazing 361 PB’s were achieved for the meet. Eight athletes were awarded Darley Bakehouse PB Stars of the Week, all recording 5PB’s – Skyla Berryman, Mya Berryman, Ameliah Lorenzon, Savannah Farrugia, Max Schoemaker, Danielle Ide, Jenna Baker and Jacob Ragusa.

The final meet for the year will be a twilight meet this Friday evening commencing at 5pm.  We are expecting a special visit from Santa during the meet.

Blues Club are on set-up duty from 4pm.

Little Aths will return for the second part of the season, on Saturday 22^nd January.
