2020 State Track & Field Championships

Timetable: The State timetable is available HERE. Athletes must report to the BMLAC team manager on arrival and before going to the Call Room. All athletes should arrive at least 1.5 hour prior to your timetabled event time.
Check In: U15 and U16 athletes will be required to Check In 60mins prior to the event time for the following laned track events only: 100m heats, 200m heats, 400m, 90m hurdles, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles.
Check In will be located inside the Clubrooms opposite Communications. Athletes will then be required to go to the Call Room at the required times.
If an athlete in U15 or U16, in laned events only, does not check in, they will NOT be able to compete.
Call Room: There will be 2 Call Rooms at State this year.
Track events –Track Call Room is located near the 1500m start. First Entry Time: 25 mins prior to the scheduled start time. Final Entry Time: 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Field events – The Field Call Room is located near the 200m start. First Entry Time: 35 mins prior to the scheduled start time.
Final Entry Time: 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Athletes not present in the marshalling area by close of the time, will not be allowed to compete in that event.
Uniform: Plain black shorts with no logos. Centre singlets must have the LAVic logo and Coles Logo. If you require a singlet, please hire one from the Centre Office. All athletes must wear their Subway registration patch.
Parking: Is available around the stadium area but may fill quickly. Please allow time for parking and walking distance, if required.
Canteen: There will be food sold at the canteen, near Gate 1 and a Coffee Van operating outside Gate 1. There will be a BBQ, Coffee and Slushie Van operating outside Entry Gate 2 throughout both days as well.
Merchandise: There will be several merchandise items available during the Championships. The State T&F t-shirts will be available for purchase at $37 each. Collection of pre-ordered t-shirts can be collected from the merchandise tent. The merchandise tent will open at 9am both days. Merchandise is located just inside Entry Gate 1.
Officials: BMLAC have been allocated the duty of Call Room (Track). Families have been allocated a duty at some stage over the weekend. Please ensure you arrive at your allocated duty 15 mins prior to the scheduled time. When completing duty, due to current OH&S requirements, volunteers are required to wear closed toe footwear, as you may be in close proximity to athlete’s wearing spikes. You are also reminded that NO PHONES are to be used whilst officiating.
Spikes: Only 7mm spikes known as conical or pyramid are permitted to be worn by:
- U11-12 athletes for all events run entirely in lanes and all jump events and javelin
- U13-U16 athletes for all jump events, javelin, and all track events.
Presentations: Medals will be presented to the first three place getters straight after each event. Ribbons will be presented to fourth to eight place getters. Centre uniform must be worn at the Presentation Ceremony
