The 2024/25 Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre Cross Country season officially concluded on Saturday with the final races and award presentations.
The last meet was run under handicap systems, creating exciting finishes across many age groups. It was fantastic to see athletes striving for line honours, with many races decided in close contests.
Following the final events, athletes, families and friends gathered together to celebrate what has been an outstanding season.

25-Run Bronze Shield Recipients
Congratulations to the following athletes who reached the milestone of completing 25 Centre runs this season: Paige Foley, Millicent Johansen, Scarlett Tatchell, Jack Ainsworth, Jaz Ferreira, Olive Blokland, Madeleine Dragic, Angus Jacobsen, Atlas Ferreira, George Jacksen, Sam Ainsworth, Thomas Ibrahim and Nicholas Ibrahim.
All other qualifying athletes were recognised with participation awards – a reflection of their commitment and determination throughout the season.
A Season of Growth and Success
This season saw record athlete numbers once again and the successful return of our Open Day – a testament to the growing strength of our Cross Country program.
The Committee extends a huge thanks to everyone who contributed to this season’s success:
- XC Co-ordinators, Dan & Dale – for their tireless efforts preparing and setting up courses every week.
- Our Rabbits and Turtles – for guiding athletes around the course and keeping spirits high.
- Start/Finish Line Officials – for ensuring accurate recording of times and placings.
- Course Marshals – whose presence ensured athlete safety each week.
- Our BBQ team – who kept athletes and families fuelled, while also raising vital funds for the Centre.
Well done to all athletes, parents and volunteers who made the 2024/25 Cross Country season one to remember. We look forward to building on this success and welcoming everyone back for another exciting season ahead.
