The Centre season commenced on Saturday morning with well over 200 athletes eager to display their athletic skills at Masons Lane Reserve. Jarvis Miles (Blues) started his season off with a bang in his first event, setting a new Under 13 Discus record with a record distance of 31.31 metres. This record had previously stood for 10 years. Keely Rich (Dolphins) threw 21.08 meters in the Under 15 Girls Javelin to set her first Centre Record.

All Under 6-15 athletes have been emailed Relay Forms and are encouraged to be a part of the BMLAC Relay Squad which will compete at the Region Relays in Melton on Saturday 19 November. Teams that qualify will then compete at the State Championships on Saturday 17 December at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. Relay Forms must be submitted to your team manager by October 22.

Next Saturday will be our Official Season Opening and Program 2 will be conducted. Registrations are still being taken via the link above.


We will have EFTPOS facilities for the first 3 weeks of the season for any members wishing to purchase merchandise – Hoodies, Club Polos, hats etc.
Registering online will still require Credit Card transactions.


The Centre invites ALL registered athletes in the Under 9 – 15 age groups to take part in this year’s Little Athletics Victoria Relay competition.

Relay Competition Dates:

Region Relays:         Saturday 19 November at Melton

State Relays:            Saturday 17 December at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.

Athletes must be available to attend both dates, or selection into teams will not be possible

Please complete the relay expression of interest form HERE and hand it to your team manager by 12 noon on Saturday 22 October.  Interested athletes will be contacted by their age group coach regards training sessions. The cost of relays this year is incorporated into registration fees, which covers both Region & State relays. Athletes wear BMLAC singlets which can be purchased through merchandise, or alternatively one will be provide by the Centre where a deposit will be required. Parents are reminded that when entering your child in these championships, you will be allocated some form of duty on both days.
