43 athletes represented the Centre at the Western Metro Region Track & Field Carnival at Newport Athletics Track, Newport over the weekend.
Bacchus Marsh had an extremely successful Carnival winning 13 Gold, 10 Silver and 17 Bronze medals.
After winning their events, the following athletes have automatically qualified for the State Championships to be held at Casey Fields on March 9 & 10 – Mackenzie Estlick (100m, 200m, Long Jump, Shot Put), Skyla Berryman (100m, 200m), Anni Clarke (1500m), Alexis Farrell (Shot Put), Mya Berryman (70m, 100m), Nyah Halfhide (400m), Sam White (1500m, Javelin).
Little Athletics Victoria will announce further progressions later in the week. Some very impressive results should see Bacchus Marsh well represented at the State Championships.
Thank you to all parents who completed their duties over the weekend. This year we had a large number of positions to fill, and we thank everyone for volunteering, especially in such warm conditions.
