On Saturday 5th August our Cross Country athletes will be participating in their final home run and Presentation Day at Masons Lane Reserve from 10.30am.  All athletes and supporters will dress up in BLUE to recognise and support the charity ‘Fight Parkinson’.

In honour of BMLAC Distinguished Service member Trevor Lyne, who is battling Parkinson Disease, we are collecting donations for Fight Parkinson.  We have set up an online fundraising page HERE and encourage BMLAC members to contribute to this worthy cause.

Bio – Trevor’s involvement with the Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre commenced during the 1979/80 summer season when his children first started competing.

In 1983/84, Trevor joined the Centre Committee in the role of Track and Field (Announcer). He held this position for 3 years. In 1985/86, Trevor also took on the role of President (for 3 years), during which time he oversaw the move of BMLAC to Masons Lane. Throughout his years with BMLAC, Trevor also assisted the Technical Requirements Officer to mark the track and set up the field events.

Trevor resumed his association with BMLAC during the 1997/98 summer season, this time as a coach. He is a qualified Jumps and Throws Coach and volunteers to assist at weekly training and also assumes a coaching role at the Long Jump and Triple Jump events on the summer season Saturday events.

This role has seen him coach a wide variety of athletes, some of whom have attended both Region, State and National levels.

Thank you for your support.
